For as long as I can remember, I have found pleasure in art and the need for expression in building or creating things.   This need eventually became a satisfying career and livelihood in Mechanical Engineering.  Engineering, as a highly structured art form, calls on the imagination to develop and transform ideas into lines and shapes of useful and functional forms.  However, the less structured realm would occasionally kick at the goads to remind me of a time long ago when lines and shapes met paper without the companionship of hard science.  Having exited the life stage of parenting, and later, my engineering career, it became time to revive creative art.   The revival has become a highly satisfying outlet of artistic expression, and perhaps that is enough.

Largely self-taught in oil painting techniques and methods, and still learning, visitors to this online gallery will find works of this continuing revival and journey.  The variety of everyday life, the memories of it, and many amazing sights and insights that pass before us all are the things I find to be gems and the spice of subject matters. Those are the things I find myself often trying to capture and convey on canvas.

My simple hope and desire are that visitors will discover their connections to the subject matters that initially attracted my eye and drew me in.   Most of all, I hope you enjoy my works of art on canvas and paper!
